About Us

Castaways is a seafood restaurant and bar located in Savannah, GA. We serve Chatham, Bryan, and Effingham counties, as well as surrounding areas. Our restaurant specializes in outdoor seating and offers a variety of appetizers, salads, sides, seafood tacos, wings, crab cakes, and more. We also have a kids' menu. Founded in 2015, Castaways is a family-friendly establishment that aims to provide a quality experience for our guests. We pride ourselves on our friendly and attentive service. We were in from out of town and looking for some good seafood. This was way better than good. Everything we had was top-notch. Photos don’t do it justice. Our group of four tried the She Crab Stew (off the day’s specials menu), the soft shell crab blt (also a special), the fish and chips, and the blackened redfish. Everything was very fresh, flavorful, and better than the next dish. The blackened redfish had so many unique flavors with sweet little bite sized peppers, mango, and coconut. The fish in the fish and chips was lightly battered and a nice portion size. Perfect ratio of fish:batter. As a side note, I’ve never had fries like the ones here. They were thick spiral cut. Lastly, the service was equally as good as the dishes. I wish I’d gotten our server’s name to post here — he was the really nice, informative, bearded dude. Thanks for the great recommendations!

A really great restaurant. Accompanied some local Savannah folks who knew this place well. Highly recommend their fish and chips! It included lightly battered fish filets, fries, and coleslaw slaw perfectly flavored with wasabi. The portions were huge, so to-go boxes are a must. The interior has been recently redecorated. I really liked the new decor.
